How GeoLog Pro
handles your data.

1Who we are

GeoLog Pro (“the app”) is developed by Ewooral & BFAM Holdings and is owned and operated by E & D Optimal Resources Consulting Ltd(“ORC”, “we”, “us”). If you use GeoLog Pro to log drill-core data for an organisation, that organisation is the controller of the geological records you enter, and ORC processes them on its behalf.

2Information we collect

GeoLog Pro is an offline-first, multi-user tool. Most data lives on your own device and is synchronised to ORC servers only when you sign in and enable syncing.

• Account information — your name, email or username and login credentials, used to sign you in and attribute your work in multi-user projects.
• Geological data you enter — projects, drill holes, DDR / SCL / OCL logs, samples, assay and analytical values, coordinates, and any notes or attachments.
• Licence information — the licence key that unlocks the app and its validation status.
• Sync & technical data — sync timestamps, record identifiers and basic device/app information needed to keep your data consistent across users and devices.
• Network data — when maps load, your IP address is visible to the map-tile providers in Section 4, as with any web request.

GeoLog Pro does not include third-party advertising, does not embed analytics or tracking SDKs that profile you, and we do not sell your data.

3How we use it

We use the information above to:

• authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• store your drill-core data and synchronise it across the users and devices on your projects;
• validate your licence and provide the features it unlocks;
• maintain, troubleshoot and improve the reliability of the service;
• meet legal, security and record-keeping obligations.

We never use your geological data or account information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

4Where your data goes

When syncing is enabled, your account and geological records are transmitted to and stored on ORC-controlled servers (geolog-api-rs.optimalresourceconsulting.com) and its update/content-delivery service. Data you keep offline stays on your device until you choose to sync.

To display maps, the app requests tiles from third-party providers — OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, CARTO and Esri/ArcGIS. These providers receive the map area requested and your IP address under their own privacy terms; they do not receive your geological records. We share personal information with other parties only when needed to run the service, or where required by law.

5Data retention

We keep your account and synced records for as long as your account or your organisation's project is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet backup, audit and legal requirements. Records held only on your device remain until you delete them. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data (Section 7).

6Security

Data in transit between the app and ORC servers is protected with encryption (HTTPS/TLS). We apply access controls so project data is available only to authorised users, and licence gating restricts who can pull data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to it.

7Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

• edit your account and profile details inside the app;
• work entirely offline by leaving syncing turned off;
• contact us to request a copy or deletion of your personal data.

Where your data was entered on behalf of an organisation, we may direct requests to that organisation as the controller of the records.

8Children

GeoLog Pro is a professional tool for geologists and mining and exploration teams. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

9Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves or as legal requirements change. When we make material changes we will revise the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of GeoLog Pro after an update means you accept the revised policy.
